Playstation Network Trophy Level Calculator Q&A
1. How does the Playstation Trophy Level Calculator work?
Simply enter all of your trophies and then click on the ‘Calculate’ button of the PSN Trophy Level Calculator. Then the calculator will tell you how many points you have, what’s your current PSN Trophy Level and also how many more points (trophies) needed for the next level up.
The trophy calculator calculates your current and next level according to both the old and the new method.
With our Playstation Trophy Level Calculator, you can also calculate certain game points based on the trophies of the game. For example, if you want to know how many points you can get for the full walkthrough of Last of Us 2, just enter the number of trophies of the game in the calculator and you can see the result.
2. How Playstation Trophy level calculated in the new system (after 08.10.2020)?
In 08.10. 2020 brought a major change in the Playstation trophy level calculation. At first, the Trophy level range is increased from “1-100” to “1-999” and following the update, the trophy level is automatically remapped to this new system. The new formula works as follows:
The exact new level will depend on the number and grades of trophies. In this new levelling system, the players will progress quicker through the early levels, and levels will increase more consistently.
The information below is based on the mentioned PSN Forum post and not confirmed by PlayStation but seems to be working perfectly:
The new Trophy Point Values (only Platinum has changed):
Bronze trophy – 15 points
Silver trophy– 30 points (twice as much as the Bronze trophy)
Gold trophy– 90 points (three times more than the Silver trophy)
Platinum trophy– 300 points (ten times the Silver trophy)
The Playstation new trophy level calculation formula:
|PSN LEVELS||REQUIRED POINTS FOR 1 LEVEL UP||LEVEL UP N BRONZES||LEVEL UP IN SILVERS||LEVEL UP IN GOLDES||LEVEL UP IN PLATINAS|
|Levels 1 – 99||60||4||2||1||1|
|Levels 100 – 199||90||6||3||1||1|
|Levels 200 – 299||450||30||15||5||2|
|Levels 300 – 399||900||60||30||10||3|
|Levels 400 – 499||1350||90||45||15||5|
|Levels 500 – 599||1800||120||60||20||6|
|Levels 600 – 699||2250||150||75||25||8|
|Levels 700 – 799||2700||180||90||30||9|
|Levels 800 – 899||3150||210||105||35||11|
|Levels 900 – 999||3600||240||120||40||12|
There is also a New Level Calculation Structure. Sony’s plan is to update the trophy level icon on PlayStation 5, as well as PlayStation App. Currently, the Trophies icon is just a single gold star, but there going to be a few more variants:
• Bronze: levels 1-299
• Silver: levels 300 – 599
• Gold: levels 600 – 998
• Platinum: level 999
3. How PSN Trophy level calculated in the old system (before 08.10.2020)?
At first we have to talk about how many points each type of Playstation trophy gives.
Bronze – 15 points
Silver – 30 points (twice as much as the Bronze trophy)
Gold – 90 points (three times more than the Silver trophy)
Platinum – 180 points (twice as much as the Gold trophy)
So for example, if you have 122 Bronzes trophies, 12 Silver trophies, 5 Gold trophies and 2 Platinum Trophies, this means that you have 1830+360+450+360=3000 points. Now we have to convert points to levels which is a little bit harder because of the system is not linear. In the old PSN trophy system, the trophy level range is from 1 to 100 and you start from level 1. The number of trophy points you need to reach the next level is:
|Playstation Trophy Level||Points Required for this Playstation Trophy Level|
|14+||8,000 for each trophy level up|
So in the previous example, we have 3000 points which means that the current trophy level is 5 and 1000 more points needed for the level up.
